"Destination: Istanbul" is the latest in the MoMA Design Store's popular "Destination: Design" series. The series showcases emerging designers and design themes from around the world and provides a context for a rich appreciation of the ideas, forms, and materials presented.
The MoMA Design Store presented more than 100 products by prominent 41 Turkish designers, selected by MoMA New York. The collection reached out to a world-wide audience too via the online MoMA Store, and was also available exclusively at the IKSV Design Store in Istanbul, Turkey from May until the end of November 2011.
I was one of those lucky designers to catch the eye of the curator and was selected to participate to this project with my 'Abacus' collection,'Flowers in a Vase' & 'Cameo' pins and also the 'Dome Candle holders' a joint project with
Koray Ozgen a Turkish industrial designer living in Paris.
It was an overwhelming experience.
